Learning German at the weekend? That is exactly what our German Saturday course makes possible. Once a week, compact and intensive – you train all four language skills in a single course block and make continuous progress. Perfect for anyone with little flexibility during the working week due to professional or family commitments.
Saturday German course in Basel – time to make progress
The Saturday course at NSH language school takes place once a week and covers four lessons in a morning block from 08:55 to 12:30. Over 20 weeks, you complete 80 lessons – structured, building on each other and without disrupting your working week.
Your German course on Saturday: lessons are conducted exclusively in German. This means you do not just learn the language theoretically – you learn to use it in real situations. With around four hours of homework per week, you consolidate what you have learned between sessions.
German course saturday – all levels from A1 to C2
The Saturday German course covers the full spectrum from A1 to C2. Whether you are just starting out or already have advanced knowledge – you join at your current level and learn in a group with a similar language background.
To assess your level, we recommend taking the 👉 online placement test. It takes around 20 minutes and gives you an initial orientation on your written language skills. Send the result to [email protected] – we will get back to you promptly.
For a more precise placement, we recommend visiting us in person. With our own placement test and a short conversation, we can assess your level – including your speaking skills – much more accurately. We look forward to seeing you during our office opening hours.

Times, schedule and holidays for the saturday German course
A1 – C2
Saturday from 08.55 – 12.30
Conversation A2 – B1 (optional)
Tuesday & Thursday from 17.00 – 17.45
Our group courses run with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 participants. If fewer enrol, we continue the course as a small group with a reduced number of lessons: with 3 participants, 70% of lessons are held; with 2 participants, 50%. For a single enrolment, we are happy to arrange private lessons. Smaller groups have a clear advantage: the teacher can focus more specifically on individual strengths and gaps.
The first week serves as a trial phase. After that, we decide together whether the course runs as planned, is adjusted or split into two groups. We will find a suitable solution in any case.
The course does not take place during school holidays.
