This exam qualifies the German language level B2 according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and is accompanied by an official certificate issued by the internationally recognised Goethe Institute.
The examination is modularly structured, includes the parts listening (approx. 40 minutes), reading (65 minutes), writing (75 minutes) and the part speaking (15 minutes, pair examination) and is held on two afternoons. Examinations are offered several times a year.
With language cometences on the B2 level you can:
- understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics and, in your own field of specialisation, also understand technical discussions.
- communicate so spontaneously and fluently that a normal conversation with native speakers is possible without much effort on either side.
- express yourself clearly and in detail on a wide range of topics, explain a point of view on a current issue and state the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
