Overview

Early Childhood Center - part-time care

We offer an Early Childhood Center at nursery level for children aged 1,5 to 4. The languages spoken are German and English, the same as in preschool and school lessons. We are also happy to integrate children who have no previous knowledge of these languages.

Depending on your professional situation and your personal needs, we can offer your child full-day care or part-time care for at least five mornings (until 14.00) or two full days plus one morning per week.

Our very playful, early childhood, one-on-one, multilingual support is based on the educational concept of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) for children aged 3 to 12. We are an accredited IB World School. We lay age-appropriate foundations for this for the children aged 18 months to 4 years.

We take into account the different stages of development and respond to particular gifts and talents in groups of no more than 12 children, each of which has 2 teachers. We set great store by a loving environment for learning and play, with a family atmosphere. We offer our Students a home-from-home during the day. The trusting relationship between child and teachers and regular communication with parents is particularly important to us when it comes to caring for and educating our youngest students. The same applies to the development of bilingual language skills and the increasing independence of the children. The children are encouraged to ask questions and learn by experimenting so that they can perceive the world independently, respectfully and with a thirst for knowledge when they are older.

Daily routines include bilingual singing, songs with actions, use of small instruments, listening to stories, role-play and age-appropriate art activities such as crafts and painting in order to stimulate the children’s creativity, fine and gross motor skills, as well as their language and social skills. Free play in the garden and the beautiful Rheinfelden parks, as well as occasional trips to the forest, exciting day trips and participation in school performances are further highlights of the ipso! International School day for our lucky little adventurers.

Admission

Admissions usually take place in August and February. However, admissions are possible at any time on consultation with the school management.

Requirements

No language skills in German or English are required for children at our Early Childhood Center.

Lesson Times

Part-time care

At our Early Childhood Center, part-time care is at least five mornings (until 14.00) or two full days plus one morning per week.

Daily from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., whereby later delivery up to 8.15 a.m. and earlier collection at certain time windows is possible, by arrangement, but this has no influence on the price - the space is reserved in each case.

Lunch Catering

The children can enjoy a well-balanced, healthy and age-appropriate lunch with us, prepared freshly every day by the established catering company Zaraz in Rheinfelden.

Zaraz has been awarded the “Fourchette Verte” certificate several times. Special nutritional needs are taken into account as far as possible. The lunch has to be directly booked by the parents at ZARAZ, the special link is provided after enrolment at our school.

It is possible for children to use the microwave to heat up food they have brought with them as soon as they are able to do so independently.

Alternatively, cold lunches can be brought along, as well as healthy morning and afternoon snacks for breaktimes if the children are at school all day.

Transfer Options

Transfer to and from bilingual preschool at ipso! International School or alternative preschool in the local or international school system.

Costs

School Fees, Early Childhood Center – Part-time place

The school fees cover lessons and school materials.

Minimum occupancy part-time:

Either 5 mornings CHF 18'900.– / year
or
2 full days + 1 morning CHF 16'380.– / year

Payment terms

The registration fee is due when registering.
The annual fees will be invoiced pro rata if the student starts school during the year.

Discounts

Family and company discounts

If the school fees are paid, in whole or in part, by a company, we grant a 10% discount on this amount. Families are granted a 10 % discount on the school fees from the enrolment of the 2nd child. The deduction will be applied when the invoice is being issued.

Tax Deduction

ipso! International School is a private school. At pre-school age school fees, respectively childcare costs, are sometimes partly tax-deductible, pursuant to cantonal regulations. Please check this with the tax office in your place of residence as the regulations for this vary from canton to canton.

Holiday Care

Your individual registrations, whether part-time or full-time, guarantee the booked care throughout the calendar year, with the exception of 6 weeks of vacation, when our Early Childhood Center is completely closed.

Registration Notice

ipso! International School is committed to ensuring that parents and children visit the school at least once for an in-depth consultation with the school management before registering.

The most appropriate solution for education, care and maximum support must be found for every child. We clarify the suitability of the bilingual educational concept for your child, as well as checking whether a suitable school place is available. If possible, we also recommend a no-obligation trial visit of up to a week, depending on your child’s age. This will help your child to get to know the teaching staff and their classmates personally.
