This exam qualifies the German language level A1 according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and is accompanied by an official certificate issued by the internationally recognised Goethe Institute.
The examination includes the written (65 minutes, listening, reading and writing) and oral part (15 minutes, group examination speaking) and is held in one afternoon. It is offered several times a year.
With language skills at level A1 you can:
- communicate in a simple way, if your conversation partner speaks slowly and clearly.
- understand familiar, everyday and frequently used expressions and simple sentences.
- introduce yourself and ask other people questions about yourself.
